Man of Tai Chi will be Keanu Reeves’s directorial debut as well as his first role as a villain (correct me if I’m wrong). The story follows “a young martial artist whose fighting skills brings him to a realm of vast opportunities, and painful choices.” We’ve got our first glimpse of the film, which features Tiger Hu Chen as the film’s hero.
Man of Tai Chi also features martial artist Iko Uwais from the hard-hitting Indonesian action flick The Raid: Redemption. The fight scenes, which reportedly will take up 40 minutes of the film, will be choreographed by legendary action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping (The Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) and will feature a new camera technology that takes the action up-close and personal without tons of editing cuts.
I’m excited to see what the end result will be! Check out the latest images from Man of Tai Chi!
