The Asian American Film Lab, in conjunction with Asian CineVision and the Asian American International Film Festival had its 9th Annual 72 Hour Shootout. On July 27th, the Film Lab 72 Hour Shootout Coordinator David Dennis announced the top ten filmmaking teams who were selected by a distinguished panel of judges including ABC’s Marci Phillips, FOX Japan’s Dan Smith and playwright David Henry Hwang, among others. Film Lab President, Jennifer Betit Yen, commented, “The world premiere of the top ten bold and boundary-breaking films of the 72 Hour Shootout at the Asian American International Film Festival is made possible through our judges, sponsors, all the incredible hard-working Film Lab and ACV/AAIFF’13 staff, and, most importantly, the filmmakers themselves who are constantly pushing the envelope to create better and more diverse and empowering original content.”

As a proud sponsor of this year’s AAIFF, ASIANS ON FILM FESTIVAL is bringing the 10 Ten shootout winners to our 2nd annual festival in February! Why? Because year after year the popularity and tough competition create a caliber of films that is exceptional and we want to bring them to an L.A. audience. Congratulations to this year’s winners!
