Ask any independent filmmaker, passion gets you results! Canadian filmmaker Andrew Chung put his savings and a little money he raised from Kickstarter into his new series MILLIONS about a group of twentysomething friends who set out to become millionaires before they turn 30 after a tragedy in their lives. Thematically, MILLIONS is a dramatic series about today’s younger generation’s obsession with image and wealth faced with the incessant portrayals of young millionaires/billionaires in the media.
Andrew’s passion project features an entirely Asian North American cast and also features music (and an appearance) from prominent YouTube Asian artist, J-Reyez. Asians On Film first reported Andrew’s project way back in October 2010, and caught up with his project again in October 2011. Fast forward 2+ years later and finally the series premiere of MILLIONS is here and will air for eight consecutive weeks, every Monday, making up eight episodes for Season 1. The Premiere Episode (April 28th) is a special double 40 minute episode. Enjoy!
