Ken Ochiaci’s short films are very cross cultural and in some cases interracial which are perhaps artistic expressions of his life in Los Angeles and his cultural background in Japan. Embracing two countries has given him a very unique vision as a filmmaker that has translated into award winning short films. Currently, two of his short films have been getting lots of attention, Blood Ties and Miyuki’s Wind Bell. We sat down with him to talk about his short films and not one, but three feature films that he has teamed up with renowned producer Toshiaki Nakasawa (Departures & 13 Assassins) to direct.
Miyuki’s Wind Bell will be screened at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival on May 13th @ 5:00PM. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the website: LAAPFF
