Sheetal Sheth has had a number of great film roles over her varied acting projects during the last 10+ years she has been working as an actress and we picked some of those film roles to talk about including Kurtin Patel’s “ABCD,” about an ageing Asian-American widow who wants to see her son and rebellious daughter (described as an American Born Confused Deshi or ABCD) married off to respectable Indian families; Albert Brook’s “Looking For Comedy In the Muslim World” about a comedian sent by the United States government to south Asia to improve its relations with Muslim countries and write a report on what makes followers of Islam laugh; a short film by Kimberly Jentzen, “Reign” about miscommunication between cultures in Iraq that results in casualties and how a soldier is forever changed by an encounter with a woman who survives the deadly skirmish; and Sunil Shah’s “The Wisdom Tree,” a film about science meets art meets mysticism.
